Post status
A post status says where a post is: still a draft, being written, waiting for review, scheduled or published. Settings → Post status lets you replace the default stages with your own, such as "Writing", "Design" or "Review by client", and switch on a rule that a post needs an approved review before it goes out. The statuses apply to every profile in the workspace.
Custom statuses are part of Business, and only Admins can change them. Everyone else sees "You do not have permission to manage post statuses". See Plans.
How it works
Statuses are grouped into six categories. Three you can shape, three Scripe sets for you:
| Category | What you can do |
|---|---|
| Draft | Add, rename, describe, reorder and delete statuses |
| In Progress | Add, rename, describe, reorder and delete statuses |
| In Review | Add, rename, describe, reorder and delete statuses |
| Suggested | Fixed |
| Scheduled | Fixed: Scripe applies it when a post is scheduled |
| Published | Fixed: Scripe applies it when a post is published |
Each category keeps at least one status, so you cannot delete the last one in a category. When you delete a status that posts still use, Scripe asks which status in the same category those posts move to.
Statuses appear wherever posts do: as columns of the board and as a filter on Posts, and on each post's properties.
Require review workflow
When Require review workflow is on, a post needs an approved review before it can be scheduled or published through Scripe. Scripe checks it when you schedule or publish from the Posts board, and when Scripe chat or a connected AI assistant schedules or publishes. A post someone approved and then moved back to draft still counts as approved.
Approvals need a plan that includes them (Advanced or higher). On a plan without approvals, the switch cannot be turned on.
When a post is refused, Scripe names what is missing and, when there is one, the assigned reviewer. The assigned reviewer approves or rejects the post in the Scripe mobile app. See When review is required.
