Slack

Scripe connects to Slack in two separate ways, both under Settings → Integrations:

  • Slack channel updates: a message in a channel of your choice whenever a post goes live, so your colleagues can like and comment on it while it is fresh.
  • Slack notifications: your own Scripe notifications, such as review requests and comments, as direct messages from the Scripe app.

Both are available on every plan, to every user except Clients.

Slack channel updates

When a post scheduled through Scripe is published, Scripe posts a New LinkedIn Post message to the channel: the start of the post, the name of the profile that published it, and View on LinkedIn. Posts published directly on LinkedIn from a profile connected to Scripe are announced too, after a delay while Scripe picks them up.

  1. Connect a channel

Open Slack channel updates and press Connect. Choose the Slack workspace and the channel, for example #linkedin, and approve.

  2. Decide on @channel

Scripe asks whether updates should mention @channel, which alerts everyone in it. You can change this later under Settings on the connection.

A connection shows who connected it and when. Connect Another adds a further channel, and Delete removes one.

Slack notifications

Each user connects their own Slack account; one person's connection does nothing for anyone else.

  1. Connect your Slack account

Open Slack notifications, press Connect and approve the Scripe app in Slack.

  2. Choose what reaches Slack

Under Settings → Notifications, open Slack and switch off the types you do not want there. Every type starts switched on.

Disconnect stops the direct messages. Your notifications keep arriving in Scripe under the bell.
