Media

Media keeps every picture you use on LinkedIn in one library, so the next post starts from what you already have instead of a search through your downloads folder.

Media is for everyone who creates posts: a solo creator keeps their own photos and visuals here, and a team keeps one library per workspace that every profile can draw from. Agency clients do not see Media.

The three tabs

TabWhat it holds
LibraryPictures you brought in: your uploads and the images from your LinkedIn posts.
CreatedMedia made in Scripe: carousels, quotes, memes, infographics and every picture you changed on the canvas.
TemplatesSaved designs you start new media from. See Templates.

A few things never appear in Library, even though they are stored: stock images you picked for a single post, photos you handed to a generator as input, and copies Scripe keeps behind a clipped idea or a saved template. They belong to the post, idea or template they were made for.

Editing a picture never changes the original. The first change you make on the canvas saves a new item under Created and leaves the Library photo as it was.

Workspace media and a profile's media

Media in the workspace section of the sidebar shows every library you can open, with a Profile filter. Media under a profile shows only that profile's media, and anything you upload there goes straight to that profile.

When you upload from the workspace page, Scripe asks Where should these images go?: All profiles makes the pictures available in every profile you can open, or you pick one profile. Scripe remembers your choice for the workspace, and skips the question when you can reach only one profile.

Uploading

Press Upload and choose Upload to add pictures from your computer. You can also drop images anywhere on the page or paste them.

  • Up to 20 images at a time, each up to 25 MB.
  • JPG, PNG, GIF and SVG are kept as they are, so an animated GIF stays animated. AVIF and HEIC are converted to JPG or PNG.
  • Scripe shrinks a very large picture in your browser before it uploads it.

A file that does not fit is named in a message when you pick it, with the reason, and the rest upload.

Media holds images only. Videos and PDFs are added directly to a post in the editor. See Add media to a post.

Images from your LinkedIn posts

Press Upload and choose LinkedIn, or Sync images from LinkedIn on an empty Library. Add images from LinkedIn shows the main picture of each profile's recent image and carousel posts, grouped by profile.

Every picture has a switch. On keeps it in your library; off hides it. Hiding is not deleting: posts that use the picture keep it, and you can switch it on again at any time. Save applies your changes.

Sync now first asks LinkedIn for posts Scripe has not seen yet, then refreshes the list. Scripe already brings in new images from your posts in the background, so you rarely need it.

A picture you deleted is never brought back by the automatic import. Switch it on in Add images from LinkedIn to restore it.

Finding media

  • Search looks through the tab you are on (not available on Templates).
  • Filter offers Profile (on the workspace page), Origin (Uploaded or LinkedIn) on Library, Format (Carousel, Photo overlay, Infographic, Quote, Tweet, Meme, Holding a sign) on Created and Templates, Labels on Library and Created, and Is default on Templates.
  • The newest media comes first. There is no other sort order.

Filters are part of the page's address, so you can bookmark a filtered view or send it to a colleague.

Opening, downloading and deleting

Click a tile to open it. Media Scripe created opens on the media canvas, where you can keep editing. An upload or a LinkedIn photo opens in a view with its title, labels and profile; to change it, start a new visual from it in Create media.

Hover a tile for Add to chat, Download and Delete. Select several tiles (the checkbox, a drag box, or Shift/Cmd-click) to download, label, assign or delete them together.

What deleting does

Deleting removes the item from your library right away. Posts that already use it keep it for 30 more days, then lose it. After those 30 days the file and every earlier version of it are permanently erased from Scripe's storage. This cannot be undone.

If a scheduled post uses the picture and goes out more than 30 days after you delete it, the post loses the picture. Keep the picture until the post is published, or attach another one.

Limits and plans

  • Uploads: 20 images per selection, 25 MB each.
  • Generating media uses your workspace's AI usage, like the chat does. Check Plans for what your plan includes.
