Comments

Community → Comments brings the comments on your recent LinkedIn posts into one inbox, so you can answer them as the profile that posted, without opening each post on LinkedIn.

It is for anyone who writes in Scripe: a solo creator answering their own comments, a team member answering on their profile, and an admin or agency keeping up with several profiles. Agency clients do not see Community.

The Comments inbox with posts that still need a reply

How it works

  • Which posts are watched: every post a profile published on LinkedIn in the last 90 days, whether it went out through Scripe or directly on LinkedIn, for profiles with a working LinkedIn connection. After 90 days a post is no longer checked, but its thread stays readable.
  • When comments arrive: Scripe checks watched posts for new comments, and new comments appear here within the hour. Check now on a post reads it again right away. New comments also appear in your notifications.
  • Who you see: the inbox shows the posts of the profiles you can see. On the workspace's Community, that is every profile you work on; under a profile in the sidebar, that profile alone.

Each post shows how many of its comments are handled: a comment is handled once it has a reply or someone marked it done.

Replying

  1. Open a post

Select a post in the list to open its comments.

  2. Pick the comment and who replies

Press Reply on a comment. Reply as lists the profiles and Company Pages in this workspace that can reply; the profile that posted is the usual choice.

  3. Write or draft the reply

Type the reply, or press Draft with AI for a draft in the replying profile's voice. You can add an emoji, an image or a GIF. Images can be PNG, JPG, GIF or WebP, up to 8 MB.

  4. Send

Press Reply. The reply is published on LinkedIn under the profile you picked and shows Replied from Scripe.

Draft with AI writes the way people comment: usually short, and only as long as the comment calls for. It never sends anything on its own; a draft stays in the box until you send it. If you keep typing while a draft is on its way, your words are kept and the draft is set aside.

Keeping the inbox tidy

  • Mark done closes a comment that needs no answer; Reopen brings it back.
  • Mark as read and Mark as unread change a single row; Mark all read marks every row read.
  • Filters: Profile, Status (Needs reply, Handled, All) and Which posts to show (All posts or With comments). Search comments narrows the list further.
  • Sort: Newest, Oldest or Most open replies.

When every comment is answered or marked done, the inbox reads You're all caught up.

Limits and plans

  • Answering comments is on every paid plan: Solo, Advanced and Business. On the free plan, the inbox is a preview. See Plans.
  • Only profiles and Company Pages in this workspace can reply.
  • LinkedIn limits how quickly one profile can create comments. When that happens, the reply is kept and Try again in about a minute appears.
  • Each profile has a daily allowance of LinkedIn reads. When it is used up, Scripe shows the last copy it holds of a thread until the allowance resets at midnight UTC.

Edge cases

  • A Company Page has no LinkedIn connection of its own; it replies through a page admin's connection. If that admin's connection breaks, replies for the page stop until the admin reconnects.
  • A disconnected profile: comments stop updating and replies are refused. A banner names the profile and offers Reconnect; the other profiles are not affected. See LinkedIn connection.
  • A deleted comment or post: a comment deleted on LinkedIn reads Deleted on LinkedIn, and replying under it is no longer possible. A post deleted on LinkedIn keeps its thread but takes no replies.
  • Commenter names missing: LinkedIn sometimes does not let Scripe read a commenter's profile. The comment shows LinkedIn member and the reason is named above the thread.
  • The post editor: a published post's comments also appear in the editor's Comments panel.
