Workspaces, profiles and teams
A workspace is one company in Scripe: its profiles, the users who work on them, its knowledge base, its brand kit and its settings. Everything you see in the sidebar belongs to the workspace you are in.
Workspaces
Most companies need one workspace. An agency creates one per client, so each client's profiles, voice, knowledge and results stay apart. Several workspaces are part of Business; on Solo and Advanced you have one. See Plans.
To switch, open the workspace menu at the top of the sidebar and choose Switch workspace; Add workspace creates a new one. The same menu holds Invite users, Integrations and Workspace settings.
What lives at workspace level, shared by every profile:
- the company and target audience documents and the rest of the shared knowledge base (Knowledge base),
- content topics, the goal period and each profile's mix (Content strategy),
- the brand kit (Branding),
- users, roles and billing (Users and roles, Billing).
Profiles
A profile is a LinkedIn presence in Scripe. It owns its posts, ideas, media and its own settings. There are three kinds:
| What it does | Plan | |
|---|---|---|
| Full profile | A person's LinkedIn profile: create, schedule and analyze content | One per Full seat; Solo has one |
| Company Page | A LinkedIn company page | Advanced and Business; does not use a seat |
| Light profile | A person whose profile is used for engagement and analytics, with no content creation | Business, one per Light seat |
Connected, or added by URL
A Full profile can be in Scripe in two states:
- Connected: the person signed in to LinkedIn and allowed Scripe. Scripe publishes and schedules for the profile and reads its impressions, profile views and follower growth.
- Added by URL: someone pasted the profile's LinkedIn link. Scripe reads its public posts and follower total, refreshed once a day, so you can plan and write for it. Publishing needs the connection, and private figures show a dash with Connect LinkedIn to see this.
Connecting later keeps everything you created for the profile. The person who owns the LinkedIn account connects it, because the connection is their LinkedIn sign-in.
Adding a profile
Press Add profile under the Profiles list and choose Full profile or Light profile. See Set up your workspace for each path.
Company pages are found, not added: when a connected person administers a LinkedIn company page, it appears under Profiles with an Activate button. Activating it adds the page, and it publishes through that person's LinkedIn connection.
A profile's settings
Hover a profile in the sidebar and press its gear to open its settings. They come in two groups: Content (its strategy, tone of voice and knowledge) and Settings (general, post times, engagement and WhatsApp). See Profile settings.
The sidebar
From top to bottom:
- The workspace menu, with notifications next to it.
- New, which starts a post, an idea or media from anywhere.
- The workspace rows: Home, Explore, Ideas, Posts, Media, Analytics and Community for every profile together. A workspace with a single profile hides them, because they would show the same as the profile's own rows.
- Profiles: each profile opens to the same rows for that profile alone. Pin a profile to keep it on top; the search next to the heading finds any profile; Add profile is at the end of the list.
- Teams, when your workspace has any.
- Getting started, your setup checklist, and the help and feedback links.
What a user sees depends on their role. An Admin sees every profile. A Member sees the profiles assigned to them. A Client sees Home, Posts and Analytics only, and no Explore, Ideas, Media or Community.
Teams
A team is a named group of users and profiles, for example "Sales" or "Leadership". It does not change who may see what; it is a quick way to look at a group of profiles together.
Teams appear in the sidebar below Profiles. Pressing a team opens Explore, Ideas, Posts or Analytics filtered to that team's profiles. Clear the team's filter chip to see everything again; pressing the team in the sidebar applies it again. A member only sees the profiles of a team that they may see anyway.
Workspace admins create and edit teams with Create team, or in Settings > Teams. See Teams.
Edge cases
- One profile: the sidebar shows that profile's rows only, without the workspace rows above them.
- A profile someone started but did not finish shows in the sidebar with a progress ring. Press it to continue, or delete it. While several are unfinished, Scripe asks you to finish or delete one before you add another.
- Profiles you cannot open: a Member may see a line such as "2 other profiles in this workspace". Those belong to colleagues; connect your own LinkedIn to start collaborating.
