Profile settings

Every profile and company page in your workspace has its own settings: what it posts about and in which mix, how it sounds, what it knows, when it publishes and how it engages. They open in one dialog, so you change one profile without touching the others.

Open it with the gear next to a profile in the sidebar (hover the profile's row), with the settings cog next to the name on a profile's Home, or from Users & Profiles with Profile settings on the profile's row. Clients do not see profile settings.

The two groups

The dialog has two groups in its side menu.

Content: what the profile says

  • Strategy: the profile's Posting goal (its Weekly post target) and its Content mix, the split of its posts across the three lanes Reach - top of funnel, Trust - middle of funnel and Convert - bottom of funnel, shown against what it published and scheduled in the current period. Below them are the Content topics assigned to this profile. Any user who works on the profile can change its goal and mix. Content topics are the workspace's: only Admins add or change them, and a topic added here starts on this profile and can be assigned to more on Strategy settings.
  • Tone of voice (profiles only, not company pages): how this profile writes. See Tone of voice.
  • Knowledge: what the profile's knowledge folder holds, read-only. Each row opens in the knowledge base, which is where you add, edit or remove knowledge. See Knowledge base.

Settings: how the profile is run

  • General: the LinkedIn connection, the author identity Scripe puts on generated carousels and images, the profile's weekly AI usage, and the danger zone.
  • Post times: the days and times Scripe suggests for publishing. See Scheduling.
  • Engagement: whether likes, comments and reshares from this profile go out automatically, need approval, or are off, its reaction type, and example comments for AI comments. Team engagement is part of Advanced and Business. See Team engagement.
  • WhatsApp: the phones connected to this profile. See WhatsApp.

Connecting and disconnecting LinkedIn

The LinkedIn connection lets Scripe publish and schedule posts for the profile, read its private analytics, and engage on its behalf. Under General, the connection shows one of these states:

StateWhat it meansWhat to do
ConnectedEverything worksNothing
Expiring soonThe connection runs out soonPress Reconnect
Connection issueScripe could not use the connection recentlyPress Reconnect
Reconnect requiredThe connection has endedPress Reconnect
Not connectedThe profile has no connectionPress Connect LinkedIn

Connect LinkedIn and Reconnect take you to LinkedIn to sign in with the profile's own LinkedIn account and approve access. Disconnect ends the connection: "You won't be able to publish or schedule posts until you reconnect." The profile, its posts and its settings stay.

For what a connection is needed for, what to do after a disconnected email, and profiles added by URL, see LinkedIn connection.

Company pages

A company page has the same dialog with three differences: no Tone of voice, a LinkedIn Publishing Connection instead of a personal connection, and Disconnect Company Page instead of delete. A company page publishes through any user in the workspace who is an admin of that page on LinkedIn and has connected their own LinkedIn; if one admin's connection runs out, Scripe uses another working admin.

Deleting a profile

Delete profile at the bottom of General deletes the profile and all of its data. Deleting frees its seat, which you can then remove under Billing.

A deleted profile cannot be recovered.

Disconnecting a company page removes it from the workspace and deletes its data in Scripe, including its posts and analytics. You can activate it again later, starting from empty.
