Idea board
The idea board holds every post idea your workspace has kept, from Scripe's suggestions, from the web and from your own head. You sort them into columns that match how your team works, and each idea opens into a page where it becomes posts.
The board is for everyone who creates: a solo creator collecting topics, a marketer planning several profiles, a team member keeping their own ideas, an agency preparing a client's month. Agency clients do not see the idea board.
Ideas appears twice in the sidebar. Under a profile it shows that profile's ideas. At the top, for the whole workspace, it shows every profile's ideas together and adds Profiles and Teams to the filter.
How ideas arrive
- From For you. Click a suggestion or use Add > Add to ideas, then Add idea. The brief and the cited sources come with it.
- From Explore. Add > Add to ideas on a post or article creates an idea with that post as its source.
- From the web. The Scripe Clipper for Chrome saves a page, a passage, an image or a LinkedIn post as an idea, with the page's title, site and picture.
- From Ask Scripe. Ask it to add, change or plan ideas on your board. Deleting an idea there asks you to confirm first.
- By hand. New > Idea, New Idea at the top of the board, or New Idea at the foot of a column.
The New idea window takes a title, notes (type them or press Record voice memo), the post format and lane, a reference image, the profiles the idea is for, a date, labels and sources. Switch on Create more to add several ideas in a row.
Ideas created by Ask Scripe, Claude (MCP) or the API land in the board's first column.
Columns
A new workspace starts with four columns: Unsorted, To Do, In Progress and Done. Each column has a name, an icon or emoji and a colour, and you can rename, add, reorder and delete them.
Columns belong to the workspace: every user and every profile's board sees the same ones. A column is only a container. Moving an idea between columns changes nothing else about it; nothing moves an idea on its own.
Open the column editor
Press Display, then Board columns at the foot of the menu.
Edit the columns
Use Add column, Edit column, Move up and Move down. A workspace can have up to 20 columns.
Delete a column that holds ideas
Scripe asks where its ideas should go before it deletes the column. The last column cannot be deleted: every board keeps at least one.
Any user of the workspace can edit the columns. If a colleague changed them at the same moment, Scripe refuses your change, says so and reloads the columns.
The card
A card shows the idea's picture when it has one, with the avatars of the profiles it is for; the title; and chips for the lane and post format, labels, the planned date, where it came from, the number of posts made from it, and how many answers it still needs.
Right-click a card (or press Shift+F10 on a selected card) to edit it without opening it:
- Open idea
- Move to, a column
- Post format, grouped by lane
- Labels
- Profiles
- Plan on a day…
- Archive or Restore
Board or list
Display switches between Board and List. The list groups ideas by column and lets you choose which properties each row shows (Profiles, Format, Labels, Date, Source, Posts) and whether empty groups appear. Your choice is kept in this browser.
Finding ideas
- The menu at the top left shows Active ideas, Archived ideas or All ideas.
- Filter narrows by Labels and Lane (Reach, Trust, Convert), and on the workspace board by Profiles and Teams.
- Search ideas narrows the board to matching ideas.
Dragging
On the board, drag a card to reorder it within a column or to move it to another column. Filters and search do not stop you dragging.
The order inside a column is kept per profile. On the workspace board, where one column mixes several profiles' ideas, a move to another column always sticks, but the order between different profiles' cards is not saved; Scripe tells you so and regroups the column. Filter to one profile to arrange its ideas.
Ideas, reviews and scheduling
An idea is not a post. Scheduling, approval and publishing happen on the posts you create from it, see Idea page and Scheduling. Plan on a day… places the idea on that day of your calendar as a reminder; it does not schedule anything to LinkedIn.
Plans
The idea board has no plan limit. Workspace-wide label management and campaigns, which ideas can carry, need the Business plan. See Plans.
Edge cases
- A colleague deletes a column. Its ideas move to the column chosen when it was deleted. An idea whose column no longer exists appears in the first column.
- An agency client does not see ideas; the address redirects to the calendar.
