A solo creator's week with Scripe
This page is for you if you post on your own LinkedIn profile and want it to take an hour or two a week, not your whole week. It walks through one week in the order most creators use Scripe. Each step links to the page that explains the feature in full.
Before your first week
Two things make every later step better, and you set them once:
- Your goal and content mix. Open your profile's settings and choose Strategy. The content mix decides how many posts you aim for and how they split across Reach (top of funnel), Trust (middle of funnel) and Convert (bottom of funnel). Settings › Strategy holds the Goal period: how many weeks you plan ahead, between 1 and 12. See Content strategy.
- Your positioning and knowledge. What you do, for whom, and the material Scripe may draw on. See Knowledge base and Tone of voice.
Monday: plan from Home
Open Home. The card Goal for this period shows, per lane, what is published, what is scheduled and what is still missing. Each missing post is a to-do: hover it to read what is needed ("2 more Reach posts"), press it to open Create your next post with that lane already applied.
That dialog has two tabs, your Ideas and your Posts for that lane, plus Explore, New idea and New post. Pick an idea you already saved, finish a draft, or start fresh. See Home.
Plan the whole period on Monday: open each to-do once and attach an idea or a draft to it. The rest of the week is writing, not deciding.
Monday or Tuesday: find ideas
- For you (top of Explore) holds ideas built from your topics and the material in your knowledge base. Your topic ideas are rebuilt every 14 days, the next time you open the page; ideas from sources you follow arrive whenever a source publishes something that fits. See For you.
- Explore's feed shows posts from your niche, sorted by Relevance by default, so you see what is working before you write. See Explore.
On an idea card, Add offers Add to ideas (it opens a pre-filled New idea you confirm with Create idea) or Add to chat. Saved ideas live on the Ideas board.
Tuesday to Thursday: write
Two ways in, same result:
- From an idea. Open it and press Create posts on its Posts tab. See The idea page.
- From the chat. Press Scripe Agent in the header to open Ask Scripe, and say what you want: "Write a Trust post from my Granola call with Anna". The post appears as a card; Open takes it to the editor. See Ask Scripe.
In the editor you change the text directly, keep asking Scripe for changes, and add media. See The post editor.
When a post is ready: schedule it
Press Publish. Under Posting options you get:
- Next available: your profile's next free posting time. Set your times under Post times in the profile's settings.
- Now: goes live on LinkedIn right away.
- Set date and time: any day and time.
Save in content calendar only places the post on your calendar. It does not schedule it on LinkedIn. See Scheduling and Posts.
Friday: check results
Back on Home, the results row shows posts published, impressions, profile views and followers for the period, each next to your average over earlier periods. Analytics goes deeper: which posts, lanes and formats perform. The Timing & Activity group (best posting hours against your own average) needs Advanced. See Analytics.
Use what you see to adjust next period's mix, not this one's.
Limits and plans
- Solo has one user and one profile. Inviting a colleague, a second profile or a company page needs Advanced. See Plans.
- For you ideas are on Solo and up.
- Team engagement (likes and comments from other profiles) is on Advanced and Business, because it needs more than one profile.
