An idea's page

An idea's page collects what the idea is about, why it should work, what it should look like and who it is for. From there Scripe writes the posts, one for each profile you pick, and keeps them listed under the idea.

Open an idea from the idea board, from the toast after you save one, or from a post made from it. The page is for everyone who writes; it matters most to a marketer or an agency turning one idea into posts for several people. Agency clients do not see ideas.

What the page holds

Overview is the main tab:

  • The title and description. Write what the post should say. Scripe uses the description as context when it writes posts from the idea.
  • Why this idea will work. For an idea saved from For you, the brief and its cited sources, each of which opens the original. Ideas you created yourself have none.
  • Sources for context. Links and files Scripe reads as background when it writes the posts. Add sources to add one; removing one offers Undo.
  • Posts, the posts made from the idea (below).
  • Activity, comments from your team (Leave a comment…) and a record of what changed.

The right-hand panel holds:

  • Properties: the topic, the lane and post format, the profiles the idea is for, a date, a campaign and labels.
  • Media: the picture, carousel or style the posts should use (below).
  • Posts that use a similar idea, from other creators on LinkedIn.

The Posts tab shows the same posts as the Overview, with the list and board display of the Posts page. Archive at the top right takes the idea off the active board; the ··· menu deletes it.

Choosing the media

Under Media, choose what the posts from this idea should carry: one of your own pictures or a carousel from your media library, or a style from Scripe's templates. Then decide when it is made:

  • Create later: the choice is kept as a reference, and the media is created together with each post, for that post's profile.
  • Create now: Scripe makes the media right away and attaches it to the idea.

A reference reads This is a reference, not the exact asset Scripe will generate. Videos and PDFs cannot be attached to an idea.

Under the post format, About this Post Format explains what the format is for and shows high-performing examples.

Creating posts for several profiles

  1. Add a row for each post

In Posts, press Add. Each row is one post to write, for one profile; choose the profile when Scripe asks. Add as many rows as you want posts, for the same or different profiles. You can reorder rows, change a row's profile or format, or delete it.

  2. Create them

Press Create posts. Ask Scripe opens beside the page with the idea attached and writes the posts one after another, each in its own profile's voice, from the idea's description, sources, brief and media choice. A row shows Creating post while Scripe works on it.

  3. Review the drafts

Finished posts move from To do to Created. Filter them by Drafts, Review, Scheduled or Published, and open one to edit and schedule it.

If creation is interrupted, the button reads Resume post creation and continues with the rows that are left.

Every post made from the idea stays linked to it, so the idea shows how many posts it produced and the post shows which idea it came from.

Content questions

When your workspace uses content check-ins, the idea also has a Content questions section and tab: Ask profile owners for extra details collects the input the idea still needs, such as a story or a number, from the people whose profiles it is for. Scripe suggests questions you can Use or dismiss. You send a question now, add it to the next check-in, or schedule it. The answers are collected on the idea, where the question's status shows Answered.

Plans

The idea page has no plan limit. Writing posts and creating media use your weekly AI usage, and on the Free plan creating posts needs a trial or a paid plan. Campaigns and workspace label management need the Business plan. See Plans.

Edge cases

  • An idea for a company page. Rows can be for the company page like any profile.
  • A profile you cannot open. Only profiles you have access to can be picked for a row.
  • Approval. Posts made from an idea follow your workspace's review rules like any other post; the idea itself needs no approval.
