Create a post

Tell Scripe what the post is about, in a sentence, a rough draft or out loud, and it writes it in your profile's voice: first a choice of opening lines, then the post from the one you pick. If you would rather write it yourself, start from an empty draft.

This page is for everyone who writes posts: solo creators, marketers, team members writing for their own profile, and agencies writing for clients. Agency clients do not create posts.

Where to start

  • New at the top of the sidebar > Post ("Turn your ideas into a post").
  • New post on the Posts page and in the calendar.
  • From an idea, see An idea's page, which writes posts for several profiles at once.

Each opens the window What post should we create?

Writing it with Scripe

  1. Pick the profile

The post is written for the profile shown in the message box. Change it there if needed.

  2. Say what the post is about

Type your thoughts, an idea or a rough draft. Rough notes are enough. Use Add context to attach a picture from your library, a file, PDF or recording, or a YouTube or web link, and Scripe writes from it. Transcribe with microphone turns speech into text.

  3. Send

Scripe moves to the Ask Scripe chat and offers several hooks, the post's possible opening lines.

  4. Pick a hook

Scripe writes the post from it and saves it as a draft. Ask for changes in the chat, or open the draft in the editor.

If you want the post without the hook step, say so in your message ("write the post directly").

Not sure yet what the post should say? Switch on Ideate before sending. Scripe then asks you a few questions first, one at a time, to find the substance of the post, and writes once it has it.

Rather talk it through? With the message box empty, press Start voice interview. Scripe interviews you and turns the conversation into material for posts. The voice interview needs the Solo, Advanced or Business plan.

Writing it yourself

Press Create an empty post below the message box. Scripe creates an empty draft for the selected profile and opens it in the editor.

Limits and plans

  • Creating posts, with Scripe or as an empty draft, is part of every paid plan (Solo, Advanced and Business) and the free trial. On the Free plan the button reads Creating posts with Scripe is part of every paid plan. See Plans.
  • Every post Scripe writes counts toward your weekly AI usage, which resets on Monday.
  • Each message takes up to 10 files and links.

Edge cases

  • A company page. Pick the company page as the profile; Scripe writes in its tone of voice.
  • Several profiles. One post is written for one profile. To write the same idea for several people, save it as an idea and use Create posts on its page, or open a post and use Repurpose for other profiles, see AI help in the editor.
  • A text from the Scripe Clipper. Choosing to start a post in the Clipper opens this window with the clipped text filled in, ready for you to send.
