Campaigns
A campaign gathers everything your team posts about one launch, event or theme, so everyone writes from the same brief and you see who has posted and who has not.
Campaigns are for in-house marketers and team admins running company-wide moments, and for agencies running them inside a client workspace. Team members see the campaigns their profiles are part of and write for them. Agency clients do not see campaigns.
What a campaign is
A campaign belongs to the whole workspace. It has an emoji, a name, a short summary, a status (Draft, Active, Completed or Archived), a date range, labels, files, comments and a description. The description is the brief: what the campaign is about and what you want people to say.
A campaign either covers the whole workspace (Company-wide) or only the profiles you choose.
How the brief travels from idea to post
You attach a campaign to an idea, and from there it reaches the post:
- On an idea, choose the campaign in its Campaign property. Only Draft and Active campaigns that include the idea's profile are offered.
- When you write the post from that idea, Scripe reads the campaign's name and brief together with the idea, and the post inherits the campaign.
- The post shows up under the campaign's Linked Posts, and the idea under Linked Ideas.
You can also set a campaign directly on a post, with Campaign in the editor or in a post card's menu.
The link is removed when the campaign is deleted, when you narrow the campaign's profiles so that the idea's profile is no longer included (Scripe asks first), or when the idea moves to a profile outside the campaign. A campaign that later completes stays attached to the ideas and posts it already has.
Creating a campaign
Open Campaigns
Go to Posts and press Campaigns, or open the campaigns page from Home.
Add it
Press New Campaign and type a name. The campaign starts as a Draft running for the next seven days, for the whole workspace.
Fill in the brief
Click the campaign to open it. Set the dates, the profiles, labels and status, attach files, and write the description your team will write from.
Activate it
Switch the status to Active. Scripe offers to notify the users assigned to the campaign's profiles; a company-wide campaign notifies nobody. Check Skip notification (activate silently) to activate without telling anyone.
Where campaigns appear
- Calendar: a bar across the campaign's dates. See The workspace calendar.
- Home: the next campaign that has not ended, with each profile marked Posted, Scheduled, In progress or Missing.
- The campaign itself: its linked posts and ideas, and a comment thread where everyone can talk about it.
Limits and plans
Campaigns are a Business feature. On other plans Campaign in the editor opens the upgrade. See Plans.
Everyone in the workspace (except clients) can see campaigns and comment on them. Workspace admins edit and delete them in the campaign view.
