Personal details
Personal details is where you change who you are in Scripe: your name and photo, the email addresses you sign in with, and the Apple, Google or LinkedIn accounts linked for sign-in. It is the same for every reader, whatever your role or plan, and it only changes your own account, never a workspace or a profile.
Open it from Settings → My account → Personal details.
How it works
Your Scripe account belongs to you as a person. Workspaces, profiles and plans hang off workspaces, not off your account, so nothing on this page changes what you can see in a workspace or what anyone pays.
- Your name and photo are what other users in your workspaces see next to your comments, reviews and assignments.
- Email addresses: your primary address is the one you sign in with and the one Scripe writes to. You can add more addresses and make another one primary.
- Connected accounts are sign-in methods only. Linking your LinkedIn account here lets you sign in with LinkedIn; it does not connect a profile for publishing. That is the LinkedIn connection, set per profile.
- Country and Address are used only to pay out referral commission. Leave them empty if you do not use the referral program.
The person in Scripe and the LinkedIn profile you post from are separate things. Your name here does not change your LinkedIn profile, and renaming your LinkedIn profile does not change your name here.
Doing it
Change your primary email
Add the new address first and verify it with the code Scripe sends. Then open the menu next to it and choose Set as primary. Only then can you remove the old address.
Add payout details for referrals
Pick your Country, enter your Address and press Save Changes. The payout banner on the Referrals page disappears once both are saved.
Edge cases
- You signed up with Google or Apple and now want to sign in with email: your account already has the email address of that Google or Apple account. Sign in with that address and the one-time code Scripe emails you. See Sign-up and login methods.
- You remove a connected account: you can no longer sign in with it. You keep access through your email address.
- You are invited to a workspace with a different email address: an invitation belongs to the address it was sent to. Add that address here, or ask an Admin to invite the address you already use.
