A team admin's first day
This page is for the in-house marketer or team admin who sets Scripe up for colleagues. By the end of the day every colleague can open Scripe and find ideas that already know your company, write in their own voice, and post through their own LinkedIn profile, while you see everything in one place.
Each step links to the page that explains the feature in full. Here you get the order that works and the decisions that are hard to undo.
Before you start: check your plan
What you can set up depends on the workspace's plan. See Plans for prices.
| You want to | Plan |
|---|---|
| Invite other users | Advanced or Business |
| Add more than one profile, or a company page | Advanced or Business |
| Change a user's role after the invite | Business |
| Give colleagues Light profiles (engagement and analytics, no content creation) | Business |
| A workspace-wide tone of voice | Business |
| Team engagement across your colleagues' profiles | Advanced or Business |
| Ask a colleague to review a post | Advanced or Business |
| Require an approved review before posts go out | Business |
| Several workspaces (for example one per brand or client) | Business |
On Solo the workspace has one user and one profile. The Invite menu still shows the options, with a plan badge, and opens the upgrade dialog when you press one.
The order that works
Connect your own profile and set the strategy first
Do the company-wide parts before anyone else arrives, so the first ideas your colleagues see are already about your company.
- Settings › Strategy: the workspace content topics, each profile's content mix across Reach, Trust and Convert, and the goal period. See Content strategy.
- Settings › Knowledge: your company and target-audience documents, plus the files and links Scripe should draw on. See Knowledge base.
- Settings › Branding: colors, typography and logos every profile publishes media with. The website sync suggests values from your site; it fills nothing you set by hand.
Strategy, Branding and the workspace Tone of Voice are Admin-only.
Invite users and choose their role
Open Settings › Users & Profiles, press Invite and choose Invite a user. Paste one or several email addresses, pick a role and, optionally, the profiles they get when they accept.
Role What they can do Admin Works on every profile and invites users. Manages billing by default; you can switch that off per person before you send the invite. Member Works on the profiles assigned to them. A Member with no profile assigned sees nothing to work on. Client Reviews posts on assigned profiles. Read-only; built for agency clients. See What a client sees. Member is the default. Give Admin only to people who should see and change every profile.
Add the profiles
- Full profiles. Invite › Add a profile connects a personal LinkedIn profile to publish through. The usual way is to let each colleague connect their own after accepting the invite, because the connection is made with their LinkedIn login. A Member who arrives with no profile assigned is asked How will you use Scripe?: Connect my LinkedIn (needs a free Full seat) or Just assisting. See LinkedIn connection.
- Company pages. Once someone who administers the page on LinkedIn has connected their account, the page appears under Discovered company pages in the sidebar's Profiles list. Press Activate. Publishing to the page needs a connected user who is an admin of the page on LinkedIn.
- Light profiles (Business). The Light invite link card in Users & Profiles creates a join link for colleagues who should only engage and see analytics. Light profiles are for engagement and analytics, no content creation.
A workspace never holds the same LinkedIn person twice: adding someone who is already a profile here is refused.
Group people into teams (optional)
Settings › Teams groups users and profiles, for example Sales and Leadership. A team appears in the sidebar under Profiles and scopes Explore, Ideas, Posts and Analytics to its profiles in one click. See Teams.
Decide how posts get approved
Anyone writing a post can ask a colleague to review it with the Reviewer button in the editor (Advanced and up). If posts must not go out unreviewed, turn on Require review workflow under Settings › Post status (Business, Admins only). Scripe's agent and chat then refuse to schedule or publish a post that has no approved review, and so does dragging a post on the Posts board. See When review is required.
Set up engagement and the content check-in
- Settings › Engagement decides who may use whose profile for likes, comments and reshares, and whether each needs approval. See Team engagement.
- Settings › Content check-in collects the questions Scripe has about ideas and sends them in one batch per person, in the app, by email or on WhatsApp. Choose who answers for each profile. Only Admins can change it.
Connect your tools
Settings › Integrations lists Slack, WhatsApp, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Notion, Zapier, n8n and webhooks. The AI assistants and automations need API access, which starts on Advanced. See Integrations and Slack.
Edge cases
- One profile only. With a single profile the sidebar shows that profile's rows and drops the workspace twins. Nothing is missing; both led to the same page.
- Agency-paid workspace. If an agency pays for your workspace, billing is managed from the agency's workspace and your Billing page is read-only.
- Someone left the company. Remove them in Users & Profiles. They lose access to every assigned profile at once, and you can invite them again later.
