Start with a foundation, not overthinking

After setting your Content Strategy, it’s time to create and share content. You’ve already done all the groundwork to reach your LinkedIn mountain. Once you’ll arrive up there, your ideation and content creation process will become easier, and the view will be much nicer. ;)

When creating LinkedIn posts, it is likely to get caught up in overthinking: “Will I be judged?” “What if this one person sees my post?” We get you and here’s the thing: Yes, people might judge and this one person might see your post.

And, that’s okay. As long as your post is authentic and reaches your target audience, why worry about others? Imagine you would not go on your mountain hike just because one random person tells you not to. Overthinking is normal – now, let’s get over it. ;)

The easiest way to get over overthinking and doubts is to openly talk about them. You might find that sparring with a colleague or friend helps. Usually, intentional conversations remind you why you set your intention in the beginning. Additionally, the goals you set for your Content Strategy and with your team help to keep up accountability.

There will be weeks when you won’t necessarily know an ideal topic for a post or specific content format. Don’t get too caught up in those moments – find a way to act instead. Again, the easiest way to spark ideas is through talking with team members, clients, friends, or maybe your dog. You do you – as long as you make time to talk and reflect on the topics that are relevant to you and your audience.

Trust your intuition and share content on what excites you and something you know your target audience will value. Not every post will go through the roof. That’s normal and that’s why sticking to your Content Strategy is key – and to keep going. You’ve designed your Content Strategy to create content that matters.
